Quantity Supervisor

QUANTITY SUPERVISOR – ROAD OR UNDERGROUND PROJECTS – SAUDI ARABIA

For one of our clients, a major construction company, we are looking for a Quantity Supervisor with experience in road or underground projects.

Responsibilities:
•Work closely with the Estimating Manager, Pre-Construction Manager, and the bidding & operational teams to prepare accurate quantity assessments for tenders.
•Analyze tender documentation and perform quantity take-offs to ensure precise cost estimation.
•Utilize specialized software such as Causeway to develop tender pricing, activity rates, and cost build-ups from first principles.
•Collaborate with the Procurement team to issue and assess subcontractor enquiries, ensuring competitive and cost-effective quotations.
•Prepare prelim books and tender commission papers in alignment with the tender strategy.
•Play a key role in preparing and submitting the tender quality submission, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
•Lead tender handover meetings upon successful bids and contribute to post-contract reviews to validate estimation accuracy.
•Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including supply chain partners and internal estimating & commercial teams.
•Ensure best practices in estimating are consistently applied across the business unit.

Profile & Qualifications:
Education & Certifications:
•Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
•Ideally a Chartered Member of a recognized professional institution.
•Fluent in English (mandatory) And French / Arabic is a plus.
•Additional legal or commercial training is a plus.
Experience:
•Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Supervisor or Estimator in civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
•Strong experience in road construction and/or underground projects is required.
•Expertise in asphalt and/or concrete paving estimation is highly desirable.
•Proficient in handling complex tenders with strict deadlines and high-quality standards.
•Solid knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and cost estimation techniques.
Technical Skills & Personal Attributes:
•Proficiency in Causeway or other estimating software.
•Strong IT skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6 (a plus).
•Strong analytical skills, ability to work autonomously and in collaborative teams.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
