QA QC Manager

The QA/QC Manager is responsible for the following main activities:

o Analysis, update and implementation of the existing quality procedures on site.
o Ensure that the quality control systems work properly in accordance with the quality manual.
o Coordinate and lead the quality control team, including site inspectors.
o Participate in coordination meetings for worksite quality control and provide the QA interface with the Client, so as to obtain the authorizations and approvals required for carrying out the work.
o QA for the piping and insulation subcontractor.
o Check drawings and site works to ensure compliance with the norms and methods approved by the Client and be a focal point for the control of work progress in accordance with the contractual specifications.
o Organize internal quality control audits as required.
o Ensure the administrative follow up of documents related to the quality management system, and the production of final handing-over documentation.

The Quality Manager reports to the site Project Manager, with a functional reporting link to the Head Engineer, M&E, in Brussels.

o Mechanical & Electrical QA/QC Engineer with 10 years’ experience in the international construction business.
o Knowledge of the main quality norms, particularly US codes and standards.
o Communicative, diplomatic and a motivator, with a pragmatic approach.
o Enjoys working in a team but also able to work independently.
o Languages: English essential. In addition, French, Dutch, Portuguese or Spanish would be an asset.
