Design Manager (M/F)

On behalf of one of our international clients, we are seeking a Design Manager (M/F) for a permanent position based in Al-'Ula Saudi Arabia.

The Design Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of the client projet. This position requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Main Responsibilities :

– Lead the management of portfolios containing multiple building and infrastructure projects at various stages of development. Ensure projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

– Provide guidance and direction to design teams, ensuring adherence to project requirements, codes, and regulations. Review and approve design deliverables to ensure compliance with client expectations.

– Assess project resource requirements and organize necessary personnel, materials, and equipment to execute project work efficiently.

– Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities, to facilitate smooth project progression and address any concerns or issues that may arise.

– Develop and implement strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Proactively manage challenges to minimize potential impacts on project delivery.

– Maintain a high level of quality control throughout the project lifecycle. Implement quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.

– Provide strong leadership to subordinate managers and project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment. Motivate teams to achieve project goals and objectives.

– Accommodate challenging clients and stakeholder groups by effectively managing expectations, resolving conflicts, and maintaining open lines of communication.

– Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address complex project issues and find innovative solutions.

– Consistently deliver high-quality work under changing circumstances and challenging deadlines, maintaining composure and resilience under pressure.

– Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey project requirements, updates, and issues. Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential.

– Possess a good working knowledge of project management software to streamline project workflows and enhance productivity.

– Minimum of 10 years' post-graduate experience in architecture, engineering, or related field.
– Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or equivalent experience.
– Comprehensive experience managing portfolios containing multiple building and infrastructure projects.
– Proficient in infrastructure and building design and construction principles.
– Solid understanding of project management principles, including quality control and risk management.
– High-level skills in project planning, leadership, and delivery.
– Demonstrated ability to assess project resources and execute work effectively.
– Proven experience coordinating project stakeholders and directing subordinate managers.
– Strong track record in accommodating challenging clients and stakeholder groups.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
– Politically adaptable with excellent conflict reconciliation skills.
– Calm under pressure and resilient.
– Excellent communication skills, proficiency in spoken and written English.
– Good working knowledge of project management software.
